Wes and Dianne Bartel
Originally from Western Montana, Wes Bartel currently serves as the founder and Director of the Rural America Ministries Network. With more than thirty years experience in pastoral ministry, including serving churches in four different districts. He has also served as a District Youth Director, and as the National Director of Discipleship Ministries for the Assemblies of God.
For Wes, Rural Ministry has remained a central focus of his life since his early years. Born in a ranch in Western Montana, his family attended a rural church that provided the foundatiion and primary structure for life and future ministry. He pastored rural churches in North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska and Montana before moving to Springfield, Missouri where he assumed a leadership role with the Assemblies of God National Leadership and Resource Center. He is an alumnus of Trinity Bible College, Southwestern Assemblies of God University and Harrison School of Graduate Studies. Wes currently holds a MA Degree in Theology at Harrison School for Graduate Studies. He and his wife, Dianne, have been married for over forty nine years and presently reside in Springfield, Missouri. They have two married children and four grandchildren.
Alton and Johanna Garrison
Alton Garrison presently serves as the assistant general superintendent of the Assemblies of God. Prior to his role as Assistant Superintendent he served as executive director of U.S. Missions from 2005-2007, overseeing 1,073 U.S. missionaries and more than 450 chaplains across the United States and in military installations around the world.
Garrison served as superintendent of the Arkansas District from 2001-2005. During his tenure he launched a district mentoring ministry for pastors with the District Coaching Group and local church leadership through the Arkansas Cohort Group. Prior to this, he pastored First Assembly of God in North Little Rock, Arkansas, for 15 years. He also served as an evangelist from 1968-1985. He has authored several books including: A Spirit-Empowered Church, Acts 2 Church, The 360Â° Disciple, Hope in America's Crisis, and Building a Winning Team. His heart and passion for Rural Ministries has led him to Johanna Garrison authored the book: Tangled Destinies, an account of her family's hardships through the Nazi holocaust and an Indonesian revolution and their subsequent immigration to the United States. Alton Garrison and his wife Johanna have been married for 46 years. They have one daughter, Lizette, and one grandson.
Rich and Kim Greenwald
Rich is a Native Montanan who married a Montana girl and together they have served rural congregations for over 25 years. They have pastored in rural Wyoming and also remote commuties in Montana. Currently the Greenwalds are US Missionaries working with Rural America Ministries Network to Reach, Resource, and Revive Rural America. For Rich and Kim, Rural Ministry has been a singular vision and passion since they began their ministry.
Rich is a graduate of Northwest University with a BA in Pastoral Ministries and also holds an MA in Practical Theology from Harrison School of Graduate Studies. Kim graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University with a BA in Church Ministries. The Greenwald's have been married for 28 years and have 2 married daughters and 2 grandchildren.
